What are the criteria for Project Graduate? 

Prior UK students must meet the following criteria: 

  • You must be eligible for readmission to complete your first bachelor degree 
  • You must have at least 80 earned credits 
  • You must have been out of school for at least two years 

Transfer students from public institutions in the state of Kentucky must meet the following criteria: 

  • You must be eligible as a transfer to complete your first bachelor degree 
  • You must have at least 80 earned hours 
  • You must have been out of school for at least two years

I have 80 credit hours but some are from a community college, will those apply?

Yes, but UK limits the total number of transfer credit hours from a community college to 67 credits. 

Do I have to complete the same degree I started?

No. UK offers many degree programs and majors. Visit UK's list of majors for more information. Your transfer advisor will also assist in this discussion and finding a program which meets your unique academic/career goals.

I have been out of school for 20 years. Can I still return?

Yes. Project Graduate students can return at any age. 

Are there any online classes available?

Can I test out of classes?

UK does allow credit by exam for CLEP. Visit the UK Bulletin's section on Special Academic Programs for more information.

Does a Project Graduate degree differ from any other bachelor degree?

Project Graduate is not a degree, but a program to assist students who want to return to pursue any UK undergraduate program.
