Transfer Blue+ Program
What is Blue+?
- Blue+ is a dual-enrollment program for currently enrolled BCTC, degree-seeking students
- Eligible students can take up to 12 credit hours at UK at the BCTC tuition rate while enrolled at BCTC
- Opportunity for qualifying BCTC students to accelerate progress in a UK major and/or minor of choice or to progress UK foreign language requirements
- Enrollment in courses not taught at BCTC
Blue+ Requirements
- Degree-seeking students in BCTC Associate of Arts, Associate of Science. Associate of Applied Science and Associate of Fine Arts (AA, AS, AAS, AFA)
- 2.0 cumulative GPA (all courses, regardless of grade forgiveness at previous institutions, will be included in the grade calculation completed by UK)
- 12 hours of credit accrued after HS graduation (dual or early college credits are ineligible)
- Blue+ interested students are encouraged to reach out to UK's Blue+ Coordinator to determine eligibility
- Eligible students can enroll in two courses per semesters for up to 12 credit hours with UK as a Blue+ student
Program Benefits
- Enrollment in UK prerequisite courses at the BCTC rate during the time of Blue+ enrollment
- Degree planning and forecasting with UK Transfer Advisor
- “Best of both worlds” attending classes and acclimating to UK’s campus
- Maximize time to degree completion
- Completion of a KCTCS credential while working toward the UK bachelor’s degree
Application Dates
Interested BCTC students may apply to the Blue+ Program twice a year.
Fall Semester: January 1 - March 31
Spring Semester: August 1 - October 31
